In early November 2015 our ECB Clubmark accreditation was signed off for the next 3 years. Clubmark means a number of things for the club:
- Duty of Care and Safeguarding Children - we provide a positive and fun experience for children, whilst also having safeguards in place to protect children from harm. This includes having safeguarding policies and ensuring all of our coaches are DBS checked to confirm their suitibility to work with children.
- The Cricket Programme - our coaching sessions make children feel safe, have fun and spend time with their friends in an environment that allows them to play the game, learn new things, and achieve their individual and collective potential.
- Knowing your club and its Community – One Game - we welcome players at all levels regardless of age, race, ability, gender, ethnic origin, nationality, colour, parental or marital status, religious belief, class or social background, sexual preference or political belief.
- Club Management - our club is well managed by a team of volunteers, plans for the future accordingly and is well prepared in the event of any emergencies. This creates and sustains a safe and welcoming environment that encourages people to get and stay involved at our club.
